How To Be Confident And Look Naturally Great On Camera

Being in front of the camera and looking naturally great is really easier than you might think. You don’t have to do anything special, it’s more of a state of mind that will make you feel and look amazing in photos. Here are some of my tips:

1: Remind yourself that getting your photo taken is not the same as getting your teeth fixed. No need to be nervous – it does not hurt. Photography is supposed to be a pleasant and fun experience – consciously think of it as such.

2: Be yourself! Just act normal, as if your own friend was taking the photos. I know, this might be easier said than done. When it comes to wedding photography specifically, that is one of the main reasons why we at Toronto Wedding Studios include the engagement session in all of our packages. It gives us the opportunity to get to know one another. When your big day finally comes it will really feel as if one of your own friends is photographing your wedding.

3: Be confident! Confidence is rated as one of the sexiest traits, and it does show in the photos as well :).

4: If you find yourself getting ready for an engagement shoot it never hurts to bring a second outfit, variety is a welcome bonus. Dress to impress in matching styles with your partner, and avoid wearing all black.

5: No need to pose or make funny faces. A genuine smile will always look amazing no matter what, but remember you don’t always have to smile in photos either. Natural beauty, real moments and the perfect lighting (leave that one to me) are the best combo in creating beautiful, timeless photographs.
