Toronto Storys Building Wedding
Jay and Jocelyn were married on a beautiful sunny day in June (hard to believe this summer, I know!) at the historic Storys Building in the heart of the Entertainment District in downtown Toronto.
The couple decided to do a first look before the ceremony. This gave them the opportunity to have a private minute and really take in the moment and what the whole day had in store for them. The architecture around The Storys Building is remarkable and made for some beautiful photos of the couple and bridal party. We then headed to David Pecaut Square where we were able to get some gorgeous shots among the trees – you could barely tell we were in the middle of downtown Toronto!
The ceremony and reception both took place at The Storys Building with the guests moving between the second and third floors. The reception space had an airy, romantic feel to it with lots of greenery and candles. String lights of edison bulbs provided a soft glow as the sun set through large windows. A collection of gold candlestick holders and picture frames provided a modern accent to the historic, industrial feeling of the building.
After a delicious dinner (catered by Storys Building) and heartwarming and hilarious speeches, the dance floor was opened and the party began! As the guests danced up a storm, late night McDonalds was delivered and a donut wall was set up. That’s right – a wall filled with soft, delicious donuts provided by the one and only San Remo Bakery!
It was obvious when meeting Jay and Jocelyn that they were fun loving and outgoing people, but this was made even more apparent on their wedding day surrounded by their family and friends. The energy exuding from everyone throughout the entire day was loud and infectious.
We had a blast capturing this wedding. It was fresh, classic and romantic. The love was palpable and we wish Jay and Jocelyn the best in their marriage!
