Universal EventSpace Wedding
From the gorgeous bouquets lining the tables and chandeliers, to the opulent white decor with glass and mirror accents, this was the perfect traditional wedding with a contemporary twist.
Gathering at the bride’s home the morning of, the bridal party dressed in beautiful blush floor length gowns. The bride was stunning in a vintage-inspired mermaid dress with beaded embroidery and a cascading bouquet of orchids, hydrangeas, amaranths and blush roses. Let’s not forget the jewel-encrusted Jimmy Choos! Honouring Greek culture and tradition, there was music and dancing in the backyard, followed by the kicking of the glass and rice throwing to see off the bride.
Family and friends then congregated to witness the beautiful Orthodox wedding ceremony at the family’s Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in North York, Ontario. Although rain followed the post-wedding photo shoot, the bride and groom were unfazed and the wedding party played up the fact, prancing and posing with clear bubble umbrellas.
The extensive guest list celebrated the Universal Event Space wedding reception in true Greek wedding style, including money pinning on the bride and groom, garter and bouquet toss, as well as traditional Greek and Portugese dancing.
With romantic and glamorous decor and phenomenal Mediterranean cuisine at the reception, paired with the traditional and symbolic elements of the ceremony, this wedding was a true match made in heaven. Congratulations Katerina and Mike!!
